(English below) Queremos compartir los emocionantes eventos vividos en los últimos días, así que mientras Natalia escala les contamos algunos detalles... En la noche tras su llegada al C2, cayeron aproximadamente 40 cm de nieve, por lo que decidió no moverse el día 25 a la espera de condiciones más seguras. Pero en la tarde, la visibilidad mejoró y decidió subir un poco a explorar el terreno, encontrándose con la devastadora noticia de que su crampon se había roto, lo que la dejaba imposibilitada de subir o bajar, pareciendo que la única alternativa restante era llamar para un rescate en helicóptero y poner término a la expedición. Durante el día 26 intentó repararlos pero sin lograr algo que le diera confianza para continuar en las zonas más técnicas de la escalada, eso si reparó con éxito la cocinilla que también le estaba dando algunos problemas.
Así que de este lado, tristemente comenzamos a coordinar el rescate, pero en eso, los experimentados pilotos de Icefield Discovery nos comentan de que creen sería factible hacer un "air drop" en el filo, algo que pensábamos imposible, pues significa hacer un vuelo rasante sobre el filo y apuntarle con un pequeño paquete a un área de pocas decenas de metros.
El piloto Tom Bradley ha ganado varias competencias de "target drop", algo así como el tiro al blanco de la aviación, y Lance Goodwin es piloto y cazador, por lo que si había un equipo capaz de lograr esta "entrega", eran ellos.
El plan era llevar el paquete colgando de una cuerda que sostenía Lance, y cuando vieran el paquete en la posición deseada, soltaría la cuerda con la esperanza de que el paquete quedara en el filo y no cayera por las empinadas paredes que tiene a cada lado.
A las 18:00 h despego el avión, con los nervios de punta, todos cruzábamos los dedos por que la "entrega" fuera exitosa. En aproximadamente 40 minutos llegaron al fílo Este del Logan y encontraron a Natalia. Sobrevolaron su campamento una... dos... tres veces tratando de lograr a posición deseada, y a la cuarta PUM!!! y los crampones aterrizan a pocos metros del C2!!! Éxito rotundo y la tensión se transforma en regocijo. LA AVENTURA CONTINUA!!!!

We want to share the exciting events of the last couple days, so while Natalia is climbing we will tell you some of the details... During the night of the 24th, after her arrival to C2, there was a snow dump of about 40 cm (16 inches), so she decided to stay at camp on the 25th awaiting for safer conditions. However, on the afternoon conditions improved and she decided to explore the terrain ahead, finding the devastating news that her crampon had broken, leaving her stranded on C2, unable to go up or down, so the only option left was to call for an helicopter rescue and put an end to the expedition. During the 26th she tried to repair the
crampons without finding a fix that would allow her to continue trough the more technical terrain ahead, however, she did fix the stove that was also giving her some problems.
On this end, sadly, we started to coordinate the rescue, but during that time, the experienced pilots of Icefield Discovery told us that it would be feasible to try an air drop on the ridge, something we thought was impossible, as it would involve flying at very low elevation over the ridge and drop a small package on an area just a few tens of meters across.
The pilot Tom Bradley has won several target drop contests, and Lance Goodwin is an experienced pilot and hunter, so if there was a team capable to do such "delivery" it would be them.
The plan was to have the package hanging from a hand held rope, until they can position it on the desired location, to then release the rope in the hope the package would stay in the ridge instead of falling to the sheer walls on either side of it.
At about 6:00 PM the plane took off. We were on the edge, fingers crossed for the "delivery" to be successful. In about 40 minutes they make it to the East Ridge of Logan and found Natalia. The flew over her camp one... two... three times trying to get to the right spot, and on the fourth PUM!! the crampons landed just a few meters way from Nati's camp!!! Total success!!! and the nerve-wracking tension turned into pure joy. THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES!!!
